"The Girls"

Sweater Dress/Top

Easy to see why this has been so popular. It can be a dress or worn with skinny jeans or tights. It looks fabulous on any body type. The best thing of all is that it holds its shape. It comes in scads of colors – solids and patterns.

Blue Dress

Here is another dress.  The top is different on this – off the shoulder. Perfect summer dress for an afternoon wedding or late night on the town. It actually belongs to a co-worker of mine who ordered it for a night at the beach in Jamaica.  The colors on the skirt are really vibrant.

Red Dress

The red for the bodice on this dress had to be a perfect match to the red in the skirt fabric. Since no yarn matched it, the entire bodice is knit in a red ribbon. It is a go anywhere garment. It would look great on the beach for a summer wedding or at a cocktail party. This past weekend it was worn at a rehearsal dinner by the mother of the groom.

Pamela A at Fashion Week Cleveland

Fashion Week Cleveland was May 7, 2011. Pamela A had 10 (!) designs in the show. 8 styles were women’s, the other two were men’s. The above picture and following caption were in the Cleveland Plain Dealer.    ” Black ribbons topped with small bows run through the sleeves in this knit top by Pamela Truemper of Upper Arlington near Columbus. Truemper finished the ladylike look with a satin belt, gloves and black knit skirt.”    What they neglect to mention is that the skirt is a Pamela A design also. I call it the paper bag skirt. It ties at the waist with a ribbon. It is super comfy yet has that special touch of openwork at the hem.

Bolero

This was the Bolero look last year for Fashion Week Columbus. This is such a versatile top. It looks good in so many colors and is a year round design. But, its main attribute is that it can be worn by the fashion savy of any age. Pair it with this longer skirt and it is appropriate for a more sedate occasion. Or, worn with the saucy skirt above, it is HOT!

The Bustier

Believe it or not, this bustier can be used with casual wear or as the perfect top for a special night. Be prepared for lots of rave reviews when you wear it. It also comes in black tones. This version went down the runway in Columbus, OH and Cleveland, OH.  I plan to keep it my collection indefinitely.

Grey Coat

Grey Coat

This really is a three season garment. Try it alone as a dress with a wide belt or over jeans and a turtleneck at night. This version is grey but it also comes in a dark heather brown. The real marvel here is the ease with which it travels. It won’t muss and since it can be worn as so many different looks, it earns points for the small amount of room it needs in your suitcase.

The Stripe Top

This is my favorite way to do cable stitches – BIG!! You can see these cables across the room. There seems to be a universal appeal to cables – they are timeless. I jumped in with both feet on the colors. There could be any combination but this one gives you the opportunity to use brown or black as accent colors.

Black Dress

Mothers aren’t supposed to have favorites. But, I hope it is okay for designers to love one design more than the others. While I think the world of everything in my collections, this dress totally stole my heart. Like the black ribbon coat, I carried the idea around in my head for a year. Knits are tricky in that they can be seasonal. Everyone loves a cozy sweater in cool weather but you never think of knits in warmer weather or climates. So, I decided to make a knit bodice from cotton yarn and a fabric skirt. Tie them together with a gorgeous ribbon at the waist and Voila!! This dress will have many siblings as I love the look and variety.
